1. Lascaux Caves
The Lascaux cave system was discovered in 1940 in southern France. Lascaux is famous for its cave paintings. The cave was closed to the public in 1963 due to deterioration in the paintings from the excess carbon dioxide produced by the visitors. 1.Denver Botanic Gardens (Denver, Colorado)
The Denver Botanic Gardens have been a Colorado favorites since first opening in 1951 at its current central Denver location. Today the 23-acre original site includes immaculately manicured grounds and an educational center. The Gardens have also expanded to three other sites including a 750-acre plant refuge in the suburb of Littleton, an alpine trail on Mount Evans west of Golden in the Rockies that is lined with natural mountain wildflowers, and Centennial Gardens originally commemorating the Colorado Centennial. This huge cylindrical aquarium is located in Berlin at the Radisson SAS Hotel. It stands 25 meters and visitors are able to travel through the aquarium to the top where there is a restaurant and an open view of the city. Hotel rooms can also experience an underwater view from their windows. There are two full time divers monitoring and maintaining the large aquarium with 2600 fish of various species.
In a rather shocking decision, the British Airways has placed a ban on certain items of sporting equipment on all its flights. Equipment like canoes, kayaks, surfboards, javelins, pole vaults, hand gliders and wind surfing boards will not be allowed on the airline from 6th of November and passengers have been advised to engage the services of freight companies for the transportation of these items. One problem that may arise from this arrangement is the planning of surf trips and beach holidays. With the surfer and the surf board traveling on two different carriers, timing the whole thing might become a hassle, many would certainly be happy to do without.
