2010 San Fermin Festival in Pamplona
posted in Europe, Video . posted by Ian on July 11, 2010 . No Comments
Every year from midnight July 6 to midnight July 14, Sanfermines or the Festival of San Fermin captivates the city of Pamplona, Spain and more than one million visitors.
As the co-patron of the Navarre region, of which Pamplona is the capital, San Fermin and his namesake annual celebration share a rich and vital cultural significance. Anyone familiar with the Hemingway tome The Sun Also Rises probably shares the Nobel Prize for Literature laureate’s romantic affection for the event.
The festival’s most famous and iconic ritual is without question of course, the “Running of the Bulls”. Check out this video clip from the 2010 edition.
