Our precious world is full of locations where one would simply be blown away. Today it is really hard to find a spot on the planet that can be called a ‘secret place’ or a hidden location that not many have had a glimpse of. Man, though, is a creature that never rests in peace and there are people still in search of things unique and new and one such soul we found on YouTube. Check out this video get an idea of what we are talking about.

HotelClub Awards

It’s on again!……………and this year it is bigger and better than before.

WHAT are the HotelClub Awards?

The 2008 HotelClub Awards is our company’s annual global survey and competition to ask our customer’s and our partner’s customers where their favourite hotel is. They may have stayed there before…they may want to go there on their next holiday but everyone has an opinion.

The survey is live from today until 31st of May.

HOW does this campaign work?

It’s easy; anyone can enter by simply going to our COOL new awards site and voting for their favourite hotel in Asia or Great Britain and Ireland, or Australia/ New Zealand and the Pacific.

After the voting is finished we will be selecting the 300 MOST popular hotels in each region to feature in our next series of Insight Guides “Best Hotels” Books. And of course, all of these finalists will be invited to a special event later in the year to find out who is the “BEST of the BEST”.

HOtelClub Awards

HOW is this different from last year?

This year we have streamlined the entry process. All 3 regions are in this survey at the same time…and there are REALLY big reasons to vote!

Competition…did I hear you say prizes?

With even bigger prizes than before, the 2008 HotelClub Awards feature great prizes for the winning entry in each region’s voting…BUT….the really big news is that if you vote for a hotel in more than one region you go into the draw for a major global prize…the details are all found at our new HotelClub awards page.

HotelClub’s 2008 advertising campaign has launched! Using the tag-line of ‘We’re very competitive in beds’ a series of offline advertisements will be rolled out in key markets of Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South-East Asia, UK, China and Taiwan.

This year we are using in-flight TV to showcase our adverts. We have created a 45second advert that centres on a couple (being competitive in bed) by having a pillow fight to the track of ‘Kung-Fu fighting’. Our adverts will be shown on Virgin Blue, Pacific Blue, China Air, Japan Airlines, Cathay Pacific and Thai Airways to name just a few!

Valentines dayWith Valentines Day only 2 days away, HotelClub.com took to the streets to see if love is still in the air? With orders for roses (red or any colour) keeping florists worldwide busy and trying to keep up with the demand (before stocks run out!), restaurant tables filling up with specially selected menus and hotels providing special packages for that one special night… it appears that our Valentines Day lovers are becoming losers… leaving their flower orders, hotel and restaurant bookings until the last minute. Santa ClausFor all the slackers around, take heed from the work ethics of the man in red and white. Yes, Santa sets an example in commitment for us; visiting each house where he is remembered, delivering presents and climbing chimney after chimney to bring smiles on millions of faces. Of course the time zones help him, but just think of all the work and a night to do it all…that’s right, hard work…and a lot of cookies too!
