If you’re a fan of spectacular scenery, we have a bridge that provides breathtaking views and a major rush of adrenaline. Located across Canada’s Eagle Canyon, the bridge is 182m (600 ft) long and suspended 45m (152 ft) above the ground.
Eagle Canyon is a privately owned site near Ouimet Canyon, located in Ouimet Canyon Provincial Park in northwestern Ontario. Ouimet is an amazing gorge shaped by ice, rain and wind over the course of eons. The bottom of the canyon has a modified climate suitable for arctic plants, with snow until late spring. Being one of Canada’s deepest canyons, Ouimet attracts over 30,000 visitors a year with its magnificent views and hiking activities.
The Eagle Canyon Bridge is the record-holder for the country’s longest foot suspension, taking the title away from a bridge of 200 feet. The walking trails follow the river bed of the canyon and the bridge offers views of a spring-fed lake and unique surroundings. Activities vary according to the season, but you get the chance to enjoy ice or rock climbing, fishing and ice fishing, hiking or cross-country skiing in the winter.
