I watched a segment on the Chitwan Elephant Festival held in Nepal. Its a festival that draws crowds and the clips I saw were of the elephant football game. Those were skilled elephants!
Thats an interesting event. Its been held for the fourth time, I think and the events make you wonder how they train the animals. I can assume the 200 km race for the elephants would be a challenge but not out of the ordinary, the football is that though.
I guess the toughest specie to train and teach any skill and then MAKE them do it is the Homo-sapiens. Normally most coaches working with other LOWER animals are not as dissatisfied with the performance of their charges as those of humans (and I only had half a season with a school team).
hahaha........not to doubt anyones coaching ability, but the saying goes both ways. May be the problem is that both the teacher and the pupil are 'Homo-sapiens'. Working with Lower species, we don't expect the trainers to be too smart anyway. By the way, the elephant football is quite an interesting sport as well.
