What is the weirdest hotel that you have ever come across with respect to the building, its theme or the way it is run???
PS: Burj-ul-Arab is not 'weird' its simply expensive.

There is a hotel near Amsterdam in Harlingen, Netherlands. It is a single bed luxury hotel, set up in a dock side crane...:D with the industrial feel on the outside but really romantic inside.
In Austria, they think that a great place to keep the guests is in the drain pipes....won't have much problem if you wanna flush someone out...hehe.
In Linz they have transformed big drain pipes in to rooms and you can stay there for a night.
When you leave the pipe just leave a donation that you feel reflects what the stay was worth.
Good idea, especially for backpackers.

There are capsule hotels in Tokyo for backpackers, travelers and basically men who don't have time to go home. The capsules are no bigger than the size of a single bed and they have TV, alarm clock and light switch at an arm's length...or probably closer because its just beside the bed.
Well I've heard about the weird bone hotel in Russia. The hotel is decorated with human bones, or so it is said. The chandeliers and all are made from bones. Not a place I would want to see though, I'm a little weak in the heart. :|
I don't think that is a hotel, it is a church in Russia which has used human bones to make decorate the church.
It still looks bad, I don't know why they would think it looks pretty to have human bones as decoration, and that too in a church :|
I just saw a youtube file on the church. It is really very strange. Can't really understand the thought process behind this kind of decoration. I for one will never be able to pray in such a place.
Actually the chapel is upstairs and the bones are in the ossuary in the basement. All the bones actually are of the people who dies in the black death plague of Europe in the 14th century.
More awesome than weird, there is this Propeller Island City Lodge in Berlin thats an art museum in itself. All rooms are decorated to different themes and you can choose a room of your choice. The hotel has rules of what you can do and cant do though so you dont spoil the art.
