Incredible 7 Star Hotels

You have most likely noticed that any hotel you’ve ever stayed in proudly advertises their “star rating.” Most hotels in the United States operate on a five star or diamond system and hotels are judged based on their locations, services, accommodations, and amenities. Unfortunately, the worldwide travel industry has not been able to formalize a standard system within which to judge hotels.
This lack of professional standards means that some hotels run on a different system than others. While most countries cap their hotel rating systems at five, some use six or seven star ratings, claiming to be the homes of some of the most beautiful and prestigious hotels in the world. There is currently only one seven star hotel in the world, but there are a handful more under construction. Start planning your vacations now and be the first to see some of the amazing architectural wonders.
The Burj Al Arab
Construction on the Burj Al Arab in Dubai began in 1994 and was modeled after the sail of a famous Arabian ship. The appearance was created by using teflon-coated fiberglass and white materials that resemble a mast when viewed from a distance. The hotel is an architectural masterpiece. The foundation was constructed on an artificial island and the hotel is home to the world’s tallest atrium. While the Burj Al Arab likes to believe it is the world’s only seven-star hotel, it is officially known as a five-star deluxe hotel on the standard star system.
The hotel houses a mere 202 rooms, but each floor of the hotel is double layered. The deluxe hotel rooms range in size from approximately 1,800 square feet up to approximately 8,000 square feet. A room in the Burj Al Arab costs a minimum of $1,000 per evening and can increase in price up to $25,000 per night. The hotel is home to highly acclaimed restaurants, one of which is the home of the well known chef Kevin McLaughlin.
Morgan Plaza
The Morgan Plaza, also known as a seven-star luxury hotel, is still under construction is Beijing, China but it is anticipated that construction will be complete in March of 2008. The hotel itself will be situated in the Morgan Plaza and will be one of many various buildings in the bustling district of Changan. The hotel will be situated near a myriad of national landmarks.
It is hoped that the hotel, a pivotal building in the plaza long with pavilions, a temple, and a famous restaurant, will be completed before the Summer Olympics in Beijing in 2008. China stands to benefit greatly from increased tourism due to both the Olympics and the appeal of the new plaza itself.
The Flower of the East
Located on Kish Island in Iran, the Flower of the East began construction in 2004 and officials hope to see it reach completion by the year 2010. The hotel is the centerpiece of a complex development project which will include a number of hotels, residential condos, and businesses.
The Flower of the East hotel is designed to look exactly as it sounds – like a flower. Designed with a combination of Persian and Modern architectural influences, the seven-star hotel will be surrounded by a beautiful park and will be visible from every area of the development.
The Centaurus
The Centaurus hotel will be a seven-star hotel located in The Centaurus development project upon its completion, projected to be in 2010. Officials in Packistan hope that the entire plaza will serve as a symbol of both the country’s personal and international growth. The hotel itself will be 37 stories tall.
The Pentominium
The Pentominium, in Dubai, is better known as an apartment building as opposed to a hotel. Even still, once it is complete the building will be the second tallest building dedicated to residential living in the world.
The project broke ground in 2007 and the anticipated date of completion will be in the year 2011. The complex will aim to provide luxury amenities, much like a hotel, including butler service, the use of luxury vehicles, and sailing trips.

I think you missed this one: http://www.townhousegalleria.it/
There is a lot of fuss over Town House Galleria in Milan as well. It opened in March last year so it has been a full year since its running. Its not on a grand scale like Burj-ulArab but it is prime location and unlike Burj-ul-Arab they claim the 7 star status on their website as well.

Yeah – the Burj Al Arab is trully amazing. If only I could actually afford to stay there rather than simply admire it. Those other hotels also look sweet. Here’s to winning the lottery eh ?

Hi cheers for an incisive post, I really found your blog by mistake while looking on Goole for something else closely related, in any event before i ramble on too much i would just like to say how much I enjoyed your post, I have bookmarked your site and also taken your RSS feed, Once Again thanks for the blog post keep up the great work.
The Centaurus is amazing as it is just near to lush green Marghalla hills and Faysal Mosque (world largest and most beautiful mosque). i see it everyday from my office. just have a dream to buy a apartment there.
Yup, Ben is spot on. The Emirates Palace, in typical Abu Dhabi spirit, was designed to top Dubai’s Burj Al Arab.
Rumor has it (though pretty far-fetched) that it was originally designed to house foreign dignitaries and heads of state when they travel in for conferences, but that a flaw in the conference hall specs had that room remodeled as an auditorium, and the vision changed to a top-of-the-line luxury hotel. Said heads of state still stay there, though.
Just to give you some idea of the excess we’re talking about, you can literally drive your car up to your room – on the upper levels; There’s a 2.5 ton chandelier; 5kg of pure edible gold used per year, mainly on desserts (consider it’s a pretty small hotel); A $1 million “tailor-made” holiday package (don’t ask me what’s in it).
Flower of the East is canceled!
The Emirates Palace that have been mentioned is however not 7 star, but 5. Same for Poseidon. There some other 5 star in Dubai: Atlantis, Taj Palace and Jumeirah Beach Hotel. And if i know Dubai correct, they are not the only…
THE 7 STAR HOTEL BURJ AL ARAB IS WOUNDERFUL, I LIKE VERY MUCH.
THE INFRASTRUCTURE IS AMAZING-INDIA
John, not far fetched. The Emirates Palace was built originally as the Conference Palace Hotel to be the venue for the AGCC Conference. Unfortunately, delays occurred, it was not ready on time, the venue was moved, and the concept re-thought.
Where is The Centaurus?
It’s so cool.
Also The Flower of the East is fantastic. It is more like a bud than a flower though.
I like Centaurus ( first 7 star hotel of Pakistan
)
Thanks for sharing, i’m sorry to have stumbled on your article so late in the day, we have got 1 of the most deluxe meeting spaces you’ll find anywhere in London. Why not check us out if you’re scheduling a conference in London.
In my opinion, why would they already include those hotels that are not yet fully running, because it is not yet sure that it would work out as plan.
Ive been to the flower of the east! it is serousily amazing and fantasic view aswell
Afghanistan is the best
like Pakistan is ever going to have a 7 start hotel, they can barely afford to buy a jet plane and what kind of a name is Flower of the east + u missed out emirates palace (abu-dhabi) and the Leela (Bombay India)
p.s there is no ‘C’ in pakistan
Давно хотел у вас спросить, автор, а вы где живёте? В каком городе?
I like the Centaurus because its look is great
Anonymous , if you doubt it , you can come over here to ISLAMABAD and see it for yourself , as for jet plane issue , we have more jet planes flying privately than you can count , and if you dont wanna beleive this stuff and are racist , you can simply go to hell .
