London Will Scare you to Death

With an account behind each brick of the old London city, it is hardly surprising that myths, past events, ghost tales and even supernatural phenomenon have come to be regarded as a part of the its history. For thrill seekers and those who love ghost stories, even real ones, the London Ghost Walks are a unique way to experience the supernatural, and the puzzling as well as simple historical facts.

There are different tour offerings in London, most claiming to be the authentic tours. They take you through the streets of old London in the dead of the night to give you the true eerie feel meriting a ghost walk and bring back the spine chilling stories of the Headless Horsemen, or that of the Hampstead ghosts. What sets these walks apart from other tourist activities is the fact that not all can go through these walks without feeling the atmosphere creep up on them.London’s Ghost Walk

The tour guides are mostly those who have spent years taking tours through these streets and they make use of the dark or dimly lit alleys, and the tone of their tales, to keep you on the edge of your nerves. There are walks such as the Alleyways and Shadows that test the bravest of souls in us, taking the tourists from the 17th century plague pit, the Bank tube station, into the world of the logically unexplainable.

The Hangman’s curse, or stories of Vampires in the alleyways and gas lit streets of old London are hair-raising, but for those who want a base in concrete history, there is the bloodcurdling tale of Jack the Ripper. The Jack the Ripper walk has you following the trail of the infamous serial killer who earned his name through terrifying the people of London with a series of gory murders. The killer, incidentally, never found.

Langorf Hotel London situated in Hampstead is one of the places you can stay at while you take the ghost walks if you do not wish to commune a lot. The hotel provides basic amenities and has an in house restaurant and lobby to arrange meetings with friends and associates.
