That's the wrong picture for Elephant Butte! I live there (Elephant Butte, NM) and that butte pictured above is certainly not here! Our butte is in the middle of a lake. The butte can be seen from Dam Site Resort. :)

If you have never been to the Old Barn Resort you should not criticize it. I am orignially from that area .. it is a charming resort and the name sums it up . Most normal people are not offended it by it. Do some better research before you start being so critical. It is a rural farming community. I can tell your from the city and consider yourself to be very " Cultural " but you are not. I have resided in the city and the country and probably have more culture and am well rounded in my social skills then you ever will be. People who live in both area's tend to have more tact and social skills then those who have only lived in 1 type of setting.

A hotel is an establishment that provides paid lodging on a short-term basis. The provision of basic accommodation, in times past, consisting only of a room with a bed, a cupboard, a small table and a washstand has largely been replaced by rooms with modern facilities, including en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning or climate control. Additional common features found in hotel rooms are a telephone, an alarm clock, a television, and Internet connectivity; snack foods and drinks may be supplied in a mini-bar, and facilities for making hot drinks. Larger hotels may provide a number of additional guest facilities such as a restaurant, a swimming pool or childcare, and have conference and social function services. Hotels rooms are usually numbered to allow guests identify their room.
