The Forbidden Fields

People have always had a fascination for forbidden things and consequently for forbidden destinations. These following fields, located somewhere in South America, are forbidden because of the plants that are grown there. While in some countries the possession, use, or sale of the products derived from the Cannabis sativa plant is illegal, many have a lighter point of view on the matter.

There is a place in Morocco where cannabis can be grown without any restrictions according to an ancient law. According to country’s rules, the present King can’t end with ancient laws set out by other older kings. Usually harvested during the summer, the smell of these fields can be felt miles away. There have been cases when a stream of marijuana pollen coming from Morocco was felt in the Spanish coast of the Mediterranean sea. This industry is blooming in Morocoo, due to the growing consumption by European - farmers have multiplied their crop tenfold in the last two decades, the industry producing more than $2 billion dollars a year.

If you have ever wondered the places of origination of these plants look like, here is your chance to find out. Here are photos of some of the most controversial places so far.

As far as I know Morocco is not in South America like you claim.

He didn’t say that Morocco was in S. America, that would be absurd. It is at least remotely conceivable that cannabis is grown in two different areas of the world. Nice pictures and great info!!
