With the state of the world today, recycling is one of the huge issues right now. Being conscientious about the environment can be taken to extremes you would never imagine and these hotels have definitely taking it to that point but doing it so well it becomes a thrill to just be a part of it.
Nakagin Capsule Hotel, Tokyo

Nakagin Capsule Hotel in Tokyo Japan literally looks like small rectangular boxes have been stacked one on top of another, giving it a unique, if slightly odd appearance. The first of its kind, each of the capsules on the hotel are removable, meaning they can be replaced when needed without damaging the structural integrity of the hotel. Even more interesting however, is the interior of the hotel. It was built with the workaholic in mind; the rooms are small, but surprisingly well equipped, with televisions as well as bathrooms along with the bed in each of the 140 units.
Fighter Plane Hotel, New Zealand
Ever wondered what could be done with an old fighter plane, decommissioned therefore unneeded in today’s society? Woodlyn Park in New Zealand has found a use that surprises everyone who visits. They turned it into a two room hotel, one in the cockpit, the other in the tail. Each room is beautifully furnished, and can sleep up to four comfortably, though the cockpit room includes needing to climb up a ladder that is quite steep to get to the sleeping quarters.
Dasparkhotel, Austria
Dasparkhotel in Austria is one of the most unique accommodations ever. Each of these units holds one room, but the unit itself is made from concrete pipes. Not exactly luxurious, but definitely the most unusual of surroundings, each has a bed , electricity run for lights, and a small window cut into the concrete, allowing for natural light and air circulation in this amazing use of recycled materials. In a nice twist, the Dasparkhotel is set up on a contributory status, meaning there is no set price to stay in the pipes; you pay only what you can afford for your nights stay.
