A former British colony, Hong Kong is one of the largest Chinese cities, a place with a multicultural personality and a unique travel spot, as it has to offer so much no matter what category of tourists you fit in to. Although it is sometimes considered the cosmopolitan meltdown of the East and the West and it’s the most important business center of Asia, after Tokyo, Hong Kong is a good destination also for parents and children since it has so many family friendly places. 3. Pacific Place Complex

This amazing center built in 1989 in Admiralty is really the area with the finest hotels in Hong Kong, as well as the best place for shopping. With more than 200 stores, regular kid events, a 6 theater cinema with wall to wall screens, high performance audio systems and 1.2 meters French leather seats, this is the perfect shopping and entertaining spot for you and your children. This mall made history and it is said that Pacific Palace Complex is one of the few “five star malls” of Hong Kong.

2. The Hong Kong Observatory

The former Royal Hong Kong Observatory was established in 1883 by the British Governor George Bowen. Since then, the Observatory’s activity aimed the meteorogical surveillance, astronomical observations and tropical cyclone warnings. Nowadays, the Observatory offers guided tours for all kinds of audiences and special tours for school students. The Observatory is the place where history meets science, the greatest way to learn about climate and stars and the best method to understand the benefits of science upon people’s life.

1. The Hong Kong Disneyland

Located in Lantau Island, about 12 kilometers from the International HK International Airport, the Hong Kong Disneyland is smaller than other similar parks, but it has some great attractions: “Space Mountain” roller coaster, “Festival of the Lion King” stage show, “Golden Mickeys” stage show, “Mickey’s PhilharMagic 4D” show, and an updated “It’s a Small World” boat ride. The best thing about this Disneyland is that the queues are very short, all year round.
