Not every hotel can promise a great meal at the end of a long day, but when we searched for Australia’s Best Hotels and Resorts we included restaurants as one of the criteria and asked Hotel Club members to cast their votes for over 7,000 hotels. The results were astounding.
In the category Restaurant the following hotels made the Top 5 in Australia and New Zealand.
5. Gold Coast International Hotel (Gold Coast, Australia)
There are three distinct restaurants at the Gold Coast International Hotel. For a lighter far you may enjoy the Patio Seafood Buffet Restaurant. The Lygon Street Restaurant serves a delicious variety of gastronomic specialties while the Yamagen Restaurant specializes in sashimi and sushi. Whatever you choose, your palate is sure to be pleased!
4. Crown Promenade (Melbourne, Australia)
The Mesh Restaurant within the Crown Promenade is a laid back restaurant with a contemporary feel. The menu is either buffet style or ala carte. After your meal, stop by the Tonic Bar for a drink or a light snack before returning to your room for the evening.
3. Crown Towers (Melbourne, Australia)
You won’t even know where to begin when it comes to finding a great place to eat in the Crown Towers – partially because the food is great no matter where you go, and partially because there are more than 40 places to choose from. There’s something for everyone here, whether you’re looking for a formal restaurant, a casual café, or a relaxing bar.
2. Sofitel Hotel Wentworth (Sydney, Australia)
Dining inside the Garden Court restaurant within Sofitel Wentworth is a remarkable experience. You’ll feel as though you’re really in a garden setting despite your major metropolitan city location. The warm and comfortable atmosphere breathes both relaxation and energy at the same time – and the food is wonderful, too.
1. Huka Lodge (Taupo, New Zealand)
The Huka Lodge’s secluded location makes dining outdoors the ultimate experience in relaxation. The restaurant serves top-quality cuisine throughout the entire day and when you’re done you can stroll over to the hotel bar for a nightcap before retiring to your elegant room.
