The water is the same tropical green color just like anywhere else in Florida where the inshore salt waters of the sea mingles with the mangrove estuaries. This provides a unique dive environment and wonderful diving. I know because I am a PADI Master Scuba Diver and I have done the Aquanaut Specialty program and stayed at the lodge. I have dived the world over including the Carribean, Cozumel, Cayman Island, Bahamas, Great Lakes, Adaman Sea, Indian Ocean, Gulf of Siam Arabian Sea and Persian Gulf etc. I just did a six month tour of duty in the Persian Gulf and the Arabian sea and my son also a PADI Master Diver joined me in Dubai UAE for a SCUBA diving holiday and although we found Dubai glitzy and a lot of fun the undersea lodge there will be for luxury seekers only who have a ton of cash to spend. The only diving you will find off the Dubai coast is in the sand as there is nothing to see which is why most of the Dubai dive clubs run their excersions into neighbouring OMAN in order to dive the beautiful and untouched Arabian Sea and still as far as OMAN diving is concerned you need to hop on a bus at the Gold Souk in Berg Dubai and take a 24 hour bus ride across the desert into the Empty Quarter to Salalaha to get to the best dive sites at Mirbat anyway...
