Have your Valentine’s Day in London

One of world’s most glamorous cities can be even more romantic around Valentine’s Day. London has an unique mix of spectacular places and charming sights that can make you and your Valentine feel really special. Here are some hot spots for this year’s Valentine’s Day.

There are many ideal places in London for a romantic stroll, although February makes for freezing temperatures. You can walk along the Thames and enjoy the world-famous buildings and sights that make up Britain’s glorious history. The tourists’  ideal walk starts at Westminster Bridge and ends at Tower Bridge.

The banks of the Thames can get quite windy in the winter, therefore if you’re looking a perfect place to walk and want to avoid the cold wind, you can try strolling in Hyde Park. The 4,000 trees, the peaceful lake and the wonderful rose gardens will make you forget that you’re right in the heart of tumultuous London.

And what else could be more inspiring for a couple than an evergreen love story? Enjoy a good piece of romance that satisfies your hunger for culture at the Royal Opera House. The home of the Royal Ballet, the Royal Opera and the ROH Orchestra can offer a once-in-a-lifetime experience of music and dance. Two ballet performances of “Romeo and Juliet” are available on Saturday, February 13 at ROH.

A romantic dinner for two at a fine restaurant is something that never gets old. Why not try it in London as well? One of the most stunning views can be found at Oxo Tower Restaurant, located on the eighth floor of the Oxo Tower. With the restaurant to the east and the bar to the west, live jazz and an open kitchen, this will surely be one dinner that you will never forget.

And if after dinner you need time to digest or a bit of dancing, try one of London’s cozy pubs. Share a drink with your beloved and get a feel of a typical English evening with a hot chocolate in a comfy pub. The Yorkshire Grey (in Oxford Circus) has a lovely open fire, The Washington (in Belsize Park) has some amazing sofas and at Prince Albert (Westbourne Green) you get to choose between a sofa bar upstairs and the fireplace downstairs.
