If you’re traveling in Asia and wanted a piece of Italy, this deluxe hotel and casino in Macau, China, must just be the perfect destination. The Venetian is the 40-story, $1.8 billion anchor for the 7 upcoming hotels to be constructed on the Cotai Strip. With a 10,500,000-square-foot (980,000 m²) surface, the hotel is built after its sister casino in Las Vegas, being the largest single structure hotel building in Asia and the second-largest building in the world.

The Venetian

The largest building in Asia is equipped with 3000 suites awaiting for visitors and the largest casino in the world, with a surface of 550,000 square feet (51,000 m²), 3400 slot machines and 800 gambling tables. It recreated the beauty of Venice with amazing canals, gondolas, singing gondoliers and other symbols of the famous city.

Largest Casino in the World

The mastermind behind the Venetian, as well as the Las Vegas Sands and the entire Cotai strip, is Sheldon Adelson, who will invest $12 billion for 20,000 hotel rooms on the Cotai Strip. Large enough to hold ninety Boeing 747 jumbo jets, the Venetian surely is the jewel of Cotai strip.

Apart from the unsual luxury many of us dream of, the hotel also caters to the more important guest with a VIP club. Unlike other clubs, the Venetian VIP has its own entrance, lobby, reception, team of butlers and bellboys and even elevators to the special rooms. The gaming rooms are divided into areas, named after important Asian cities.

According to Adelson, it took Last Vegas 30 years to become what it is today. It will take only 5 years for Cotai to become Asia’s and the world’s biggest gambling and entertainment mecca.

oh my god! I am so excited to go back there again. Going to The Venetian in Oct. Hopefully the weather will be great. Anyway if you think about gambling, I still prefer the casino in Wynn. The non smoking section is nicer.
