If a larger portion of our population (especially in countries like the US) would change their minds about eating insects as meals & snacks it would make a serious dent in worldwide starvation. It would also drastically increase various countries GDP & the world's financial markets. Dipping insects in chocolate, jelly-fying them & gaining public curiosity of the idea is a wonderful first step.

Years ago, a friend of mine had been to Indonesia or Malaysia (forget which) and brought back pepper (as in black or white or cayenne) sweets. They were kind of boiled sweets, with an intense (you guessed it!) peppery taste. I found them actually quite interesting, others that had been offered them couldn't spit them out quick enough!

I've seen the "liquorice"? candy before. Tequila flavored with the worm in it. Heard of the crickets, that might be interesting to try, Grasshoppers are common also.

I think the oddest is the Gummy Bacon, that just doesn't sound right!

I saw the Chocolate covered crickets and Insect liquorice on tv before. They don't look too bad. They said that crickets are actually give you a lot of calcium and protien so it can't be that bad. Anyways the picture of Edible brains and hearts are scary. Don't think I wanna try it.
